On the morning of April 28th, a commendation ceremony was held in Beijing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and to honor national model workers and advanced workers. 2426 individuals received commendations, including 1670 national model workers and 756 national advanced workers. Among them, Lin Wenjing from AU Optronics (Shanghai) Optoelectronic Materials Technology Co., Ltd., was awarded the title of "National Model Worker" by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council for his outstanding contributions to the field of OLED display technology, bringing honor to all AU Optronics employees.
National model workers and advanced workers are the highest honors bestowed upon laborers by the Party and the state. This year marks the 17th selection and commendation since 1950. It is understood that all awardees have undergone rigorous review, possessing provincial or ministerial-level awards and recognition, enjoying high prestige among the masses, maintaining firm political stances, abiding by Party discipline and national laws, maintaining high consistency with the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core in ideology, politics, and actions, and making outstanding contributions to the comprehensive advancement of national construction and the great cause of national rejuvenation.
As a scientist and technologist in China's OLED display technology field, Lin Wenjing has long been committed to overcoming "bottleneck" technological challenges in the industry. He has participated in and led over ten major national and provincial science and technology projects, including the "first-of-its-kind" project for a sixth-generation AMOLED linear evaporation source. This project established China's first high-generation AMOLED linear evaporation source production line, achieving a breakthrough in the core equipment for high-generation AMOLED production lines. This achievement filled a domestic gap, achieving internationally advanced technical indicators. The domestic market share of related evaporation source products exceeds 80%, making significant contributions to the independent and controllable development of China's new display industry.

Lin Wenjing is not only a driver of technological innovation but also a practitioner of technology transformation. As the primary inventor, he has applied for over 80 patents, including 8 international patents and 43 authorized patents. He and his team have won numerous honors, including the "China Patent Gold Award" and the "China New Display Industry Development Outstanding Contribution Award," making contributions to technological breakthroughs in China's AMOLED industry.
The awarding of the National Model Worker title is both an authoritative recognition of Comrade Lin Wenjing's long-term dedication to OLED technology research and development and the promotion of industrial progress, and it profoundly reflects AU Optronics's original intention and mission in cultivating the new display field and serving national strategies. As a core member of AU Optronics' technical team, Lin Wenjing has always taken the responsibility of breaking through key core OLED technologies. His growth trajectory aligns closely with the company's strategy of "technological breakthroughs and domestic substitution." From material process optimization to breakthroughs in the domestic production of evaporation source equipment, the numerous technological innovations he has led have not only filled domestic technological gaps but have also become key pillars for the industry to achieve independent and controllable development. This award will greatly inspire the innovation enthusiasm of all R&D personnel at AU Optronics and inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of the new display industry.
Looking to the future, AU Optronics will deeply implement General Secretary Xi's call to "mobilize and encourage employees and the masses to innovate and create," adhering to the technological concept of "keeping pace with the world." We will focus on cutting-edge fields such as the precision of OLED evaporation source equipment and the high performance of light-emitting materials. Through measures such as building cross-disciplinary research teams and establishing a collaborative innovation mechanism between industry, academia, and research, we will accelerate breakthroughs in "bottleneck" technologies and promote domestic substitution. We firmly believe that through continuously strengthening original innovation capabilities and industrial chain synergy, we will inevitably drive the leapfrog development of China's OLED display technology from following, to running alongside, to leading, providing a solid technological guarantee for achieving the national strategic goals of the new display industry.
