Industry experts including Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Ouyang Zhongcan and Liang Xinqing, executive vice president and secretary-general of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association's LCD branch; Liu Huiran, general manager of Shanghai Hehui Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.; representatives from the upstream and downstream enterprises of the industrial chain, including BOE, Visionox, TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics, and Tianma Microelectronics; Xuan Jingquan, chairman of Jilin Auride Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd.; and securities guests and media reporters, totaling nearly 200 people, gathered to witness this significant moment.

At 8:18 am, the groundbreaking ceremony officially began. Xuan Lingyi, general manager of Jilin Auride Changxin Materials Technology Co., Ltd., served as the host. In her opening remarks, she introduced that the OLED display key functional material R&D and industrialization project will accelerate the domestication of photosensitive polyimide materials, thin-film encapsulation materials, low-temperature color photoresist, and organic light-emitting materials, contributing to a secure and controllable OLED full industrial chain, marking Auride's entry into a new development stage.

At the ceremony, Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Ouyang Zhongcan, in his speech, affirmed Auride's technological breakthroughs in the field of OLED materials. He emphasized that OLED technology, as the core direction of the next generation of display technology, its material independence is an important guarantee for national industrial security. Auride's twenty years of unremitting efforts, from technology follower to international competitor, has laid a solid foundation for the independent development of China's new display industry. The commencement of the company's OLED display key functional material R&D and industrialization project will further accelerate this process.

Liang Xinqing, executive vice president and secretary-general of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association's LCD branch, stated that although China is already the world's largest panel production base, some key materials still rely on imports. Auride has achieved significant results in the domestic substitution of organic light-emitting materials and photosensitive polyimide materials. The construction of this new factory will help accelerate the transformation of China's new display industry from "material import" to "domestic material production," providing support for China's transition from a display power to a display strong power.

Liu Huiran, general manager of Shanghai Hehui Optoelectronics, spoke as a representative of the partners. He reviewed the ten-year journey since the two sides signed a cooperation agreement in 2014, praising Auride for its stable and excellent material quality and technical support, helping Hehui Optoelectronics to continuously break through in the field of small and medium-sized AMOLED displays. He stated that Auride has demonstrated "integrity" and "reliability" through its actions, and the commencement of the new factory will deepen cooperation between the two sides, jointly promoting OLED technological innovation and application expansion, bringing better products to global consumers.

Xuan Jingquan, chairman and general manager of Jilin Auride Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd., reviewed the company's twenty-year development journey in his speech. He stated that since its establishment, Auride has always been committed to breaking through "bottleneck" technologies and achieving "domestic substitution," moving from the laboratory to the forefront of the industry, conquering many key core technologies, obtaining hundreds of patents, and its core materials have achieved large-scale application in high-end products of mainstream brands. The OLED display key functional material R&D and industrialization project, covering an area of 136,000 square meters, will become a world-class OLED material R&D and production base upon completion, significantly improving production capacity and technological level, and providing key support for the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain.

At 8:58 am, Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Ouyang Zhongcan, Liang Xinqing, executive vice president and secretary-general of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association's LCD branch, Liu Huiran, general manager of Shanghai Hehui Optoelectronics, and Xuan Jingquan, chairman and general manager of Jilin Auride Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd., and other leaders and guests jointly started the groundbreaking ceremony. As the countdown ended, the scene erupted in applause and firecrackers, announcing the official start of the project.

Auride's new North Lake factory will build a world-leading material development center and industrialization center, focusing on key categories such as photosensitive polyimide materials, thin-film encapsulation materials, low-temperature color photoresist, and organic light-emitting materials. The project covers an area of 136,000 square meters, with a planned production capacity of thousands of tons, and will be constructed in phases.
In the future, with the advancement of the project, Auride will continue to use technological innovation as its engine, continuously breaking through barriers in key materials, providing strong support for China's new display industry to break away from external dependence and build an independent and controllable industrial chain, and will also inject strong impetus into the high-quality development of the industry. This industrial practice, based on the belief of "pursuing light," will ultimately help China's new display industry stand tall in global competition and advance towards a higher level of independence and self-reliance.
