On August 10, 2025, as the truck carrying BOE's first batch of 8.6-generation linear evaporation source equipment departed from the Shanghai Jinshan factory area, OLED's wholly-owned subsidiary, Shanghai Shengxi Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Shanghai Shengxi), officially began product delivery to BOE's 8.6-generation AMOLED production line project. This milestone marks a key leap from "technological breakthrough" to "industrialization" in the field of core equipment for OLED panel manufacturing in China, injecting strong momentum into the reshaping of the global OLED display industry landscape.
The truck loaded with 8.6-generation linear evaporation source equipment departs from the Shanghai Shengxi factory area.
The 8.6-generation linear evaporation source equipment delivered this time is a "national treasure" independently developed by Shanghai Shengxi for the mass production needs of large-size OLED panels. It has achieved technological iteration from the 6th generation to the 8.6th generation, continuously solving the "bottleneck" technical problems of OLED, successfully completing the independent research and development of 8.6-generation linear evaporation source technology, and helping to upgrade domestic OLED production lines.
As trucks loaded with domestically produced evaporation source equipment travel from Shanghai to Chengdu, China's display industry is heading towards the top of the global OLED supply chain as a "technology aircraft carrier," marking a new starting point for changing the world's display industry landscape.
