Summary: Be a good "craftsman" and have a "craftsman's heart"; this is a path to career success and also a path to inner peace.

Being a good "craftsman" and having a "craftsman's heart" is a path to career success and a path to inner peace. On this road, we see his figure running hard! Not floating, not hasty, leaving marks on the stones, and working diligently for a long time.

He is Jiang Xiaocheng, the post-85 "old team leader" of the production department of Jilin Aolide Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd. He does not have a tall and strong physique, nor does he have outstanding looks, but in the eyes of his colleagues, he has always been "high, big, and upscale"! (Technically skilled, strong-willed, hardworking)

Pragmatic: Do your job well, then seek development

On May 16, 2011, Jiang Xiaocheng first entered the door of Aolide and became a new employee in the production department. This was his first job a year after graduating from university. On his first day at work, he was in an exceptionally good mood, as if the whole world was smiling at him.

"After graduating in 2010, I reviewed for a year at home for the postgraduate entrance exam, and only started looking for a job after that was unsuccessful," Jiang Xiaocheng recalled. At that time, the employment situation was very severe, and it was Aolide Company that timely gave him an opportunity to showcase his talents and get rid of the embarrassment of being dependent on his family, for which he is grateful.

"When I first started working, I didn't have a grand career plan, I just thought I should do my job well first!" Jiang Xiaocheng said. At that time, his production team had four people, but the other three left within six months in pursuit of their own "great ideals" (perhaps just not wanting to suffer), and only he persisted, growing alongside the company all the way to today!

Dedication: Meticulous, seeking truth and beauty

When talking about Jiang Xiaocheng, his colleagues are deeply impressed by his dedication! "Who in the company has ever meticulously and seriously cleaned the reaction kettle for an entire afternoon? It’s Jiang Xiaocheng!" said Peng Bo, the manager of the company's production planning department. He believes that the details in small matters can best reveal a person's true nature. He has worked alongside Jiang Xiaocheng on the production front line, and in his impression, Xiaocheng always rejects "good enough".

Indeed, as the product manufacturing system becomes increasingly complex, the repeated accumulation of "good enough" will inevitably lead to "very different"! Chinese manufacturing is entering an era of "zero tolerance for errors"; even minor errors and oversights can lead to major mistakes, even resulting in complete failure!

In the world of "craftsman" Jiang Xiaocheng, there is no "good enough", only exquisite and meticulous, persistent and dedicated!

Excellence: Diligent in thinking, self-imposing pressure

The tide rider stands at the forefront, holding the red flag without getting wet! Having worked at Aolide for six years, Jiang Xiaocheng has always remained on the front line of optoelectronic materials production, with his business capabilities improving by leaps and bounds. He often thinks deeply, imposes pressure on himself, and strives to improve production processes!

Once, when producing a hole transport material, the process determined after early research produced an impurity that was extremely difficult to remove, while the customer required complete removal of that impurity. Jiang Xiaocheng led the team to face the challenge, and after multiple experiments, determined that the impurity was generated in the early stage of the reaction due to the interaction of two raw materials at low temperatures. Experiments also showed that using water injection and absorbing moisture from the air could cause one of the raw materials to clump. At low temperatures, the clumps do not break, while at high temperatures, the clumps break and participate in the reaction, resulting in smaller impurities. Based on this judgment, the team further verified and adjusted the feeding order, adding the clump-prone raw material after heating, and found that the specific impurity previously generated was almost eliminated, with no new impurities generated, ultimately changing the process to meet the customer's quality requirements.

There are many similar examples. His serious research into the business and selfless dedication have led Jiang Xiaocheng to dream about the "synthesis reaction process" multiple times in his sleep. He stated that to forge iron, one must be strong oneself; only by being more skilled can he better guide other employees.

Joy in work: Diligent and happy in it

Every excellent "craftsman" has their own "struggle history", and Jiang Xiaocheng is no exception. "Overtime" is a high-frequency "keyword" in his career, especially during periods of tight production tasks and multiple overlapping jobs.

"The most impressive overtime experience happened two months ago when we were making the KM03 product. We had just produced a qualified product in a small trial, and the mass production process was still immature, but the customer placed an urgent order for 1KG at that moment," Jiang Xiaocheng said. Under such tight time and heavy tasks, he led his team members to spontaneously enter overtime mode, working continuously for four days and nights, exploring and handling tasks each day, and finally completing the order on time. He hadn't even had time to celebrate before he developed a high fever. To make matters worse, on the second day of his fever, a heavyweight customer from the company was scheduled to come for an audit. To ensure the overall situation, Jiang Xiaocheng resolutely insisted on working until he sent off the audit personnel before going to get an IV drip!

Loving his job and being willing to contribute, diligent in tackling challenges, unafraid of hardship, and undeterred by difficulties! Jiang Xiaocheng embodies the "craftsman spirit" through his actions.

In fact, there is no instant reform in the world, nor is there a rare innovation that can "move mountains with a feather". Many times, so-called shortcuts are just self-deception. The upgrade of Chinese manufacturing requires a kind of simplicity that does not seek shortcuts: not being greedy for more or faster, not aiming too high, not being dazzled, not sparing effort, not fearing trouble, taking one step at a time, enduring hardships, and moving towards refinement.
